Any given day at Lakeside is a hive of activity with multiple construction crews onsite. Whether it be new home construction, new stage civil construction, or construction of the Lakeside Village Centre…it’s exciting to see the community evolve and grow.
Construction crews have been working around the clock to deliver the latest residential stages at Lakeside.
Construction is now complete on Stage 2, which will see 295 future homes added to the fast-growing Lakeside community.
With Stage 2 now complete, the focus of our civil construction team has been to deliver the first sub-stages of Stage 3. Stage 3 is a significant Lakeside instalment and includes an additional 435 lots. Stage 3 also includes open shared spaces and amenity with a new wetland, neighbourhood park, several greenlinks and reserve areas to enhance the walking and cycling network.
Stage 3 progress to date:
- Stage 3D (75 lots) is now complete. Stage 3D is located in the elevated section of Lakeside adjacent to the Lakeside Village Centre and includes the Lakeview Reserve, an elevated green link with a view over Lake Waikare.
- Stage 3E (78 lots) is now practically complete and titles are expected in Q2 this year.
- Stage 3A (77 lots) civil construction is also underway, with drainage works nearing completion.
- Earthworks are ongoing in the balance of Stage 3 and civil works will commence upon completion.
The design of the expansive 50-hectare recreation reserve is now in its final stages. This area will provide valuable connectivity with people and nature at Lakeside. It will include boardwalks, walking trails along the Lake Waikare foreshore, a neighbourhood park, kick-about space, and over 6 kilometres of walking and cycling paths.
Lakeside now has over 700 standalone lots completed across Stage 1, 2 and 3 and close to 180 homes completed or under construction.
