Gifting buyers the benefit of water views
30/10/19New Zealanders are drawn to the water and often pay a premium to secure a home or bach with water views.
Data from Homes.co.nz shows that New Zealanders are willing to pay a significant mark up in price for a property with a view.
The data shows that in Auckland, the median value for a house with a water view is $466,000 more than homes without a view.
In Christchurch, a water view adds $276,000 and in Wellington, $242,000.
It is no coincidence that Lakeside at Te Kauwhata is called Lakeside. It has been master-planned around the beautiful Lake Waikare, the largest lake in the lower Waikato catchment, with 34 km² of open water. Lakeside’s north-facing amphitheatre-like topography means there is no shortage of captivating water views.
Unlike the other locations mentioned above, at Lakeside, the value from water views has not been priced in. Therefore buyers will get the benefit without paying the higher price - another good reason for buyers to get in early and secure their Lakeside property with that water view New Zealanders have proven to love.
Show homes are open every Thursday from 5 pm – 6 pm and, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 1 pm – 3 pm at 98 Scott Road, Te Kauwhata.
