And then there was one ….

The four prestigious Officer Houses built in the 1930s, on what was the grounds of the Auckland air force base, have generated significant interest from buyers. The preservation of the heritage homes recognises the richness of the site’s history and celebrates its importance amongst the Launch Bay and wider Hobsonville Point community.

Three of these stunning homes have been sold to buyers wanting their own piece of waterfront heritage in Hobsonville Point’s most desirable community, Launch Bay.

The last available Officer’s House is tucked amongst mature trees and a leisurely stroll down to the ferry and everything that Catalina Bay has to offer. This three bedroom and three garage home has the best of both worlds.  It has the prestige, character, and space from being built in the 1930's, and it has approved resource consent and building consent plans to renovate and extend.

“It has been such a pleasure to showcase such an important part of Hobsonville Point's history to potential buyers. The Officer Houses are an integral part of the design for Launch Bay, celebrating the history and influencing the design for the entire community,” says Oliver Leighs, General Manager of Winton.

We look forward to the new homeowners moving in and seeing whether they keep these magnificent homes as they are or renovate and extend utilising the approved resource and building consent plans we have obtained.”
