It has been exciting to watch the activity on-site for the Launch Bay Townhouses, prior to the most recent COVID L4 lockdown. As seen in the images, civil works are progressing well and as expected. Enabling works are complete and drainage is underway. Both the northern retaining wall and soldier pile wall are installed, and foundation cuts to Block 2 (Lots 1-9) are complete.
Building consents for the first block have been lodged. Civil works are expected to be completed in November, then the construction of the first block of homes will begin. The phased construction plan means construction will start on one block at a time, starting with Block 2 (Lots 1-9). Once construction has started, we expect a 16 month build time for the project.
There has been a lot happening at Launch Bay this year, with some significant milestones reached on other neighbouring projects within the Launch Bay community. Directly across the grass oval from the Townhouses are The Ovation Apartments, which is ready for the imminent pour of Level 3. The structure of the Marlborough Apartments, which is diagonal across Launch Bay Road, is complete, and interior fitout is underway.
It is an incredibly exciting time at Launch Bay, and as soon as we are back at Level 3, our teams will be back on-site with the right safety protocols to continue to make progress on each of the projects.
